Frequently asked questions.
When should I call for septic service?
Call if drains back up, your septic alarm sounds, or you notice unusual odors or persistent wet areas near the system. We can help assess the problem and discuss next steps.
Am I in your service area?
We prioritize jobs within roughly 30 miles of Belton, Missouri, especially Belton, Raymore, Peculiar, Cass County, MO and nearby Johnson County, KS. Nearby southern Jackson County and northern Miami County may be available when scheduling allows. Paola, Wyandotte County and distant parts of these counties are outside our regular service area. Call or text to confirm availability.
How often should my septic tank be pumped?
The right interval depends on tank size, household use, system design and measured sludge and scum levels. We can help establish a maintenance schedule and adjust it when household use changes.
What does septic pumping include?
We remove accumulated liquid, sludge and scum with our vacuum truck, check accessible components and visible tank conditions, and explain any issues we find. Pumping alone does not repair damaged tanks, pipes or treatment areas.
Do you perform inspections?
We provide septic inspections and hold Missouri Septic System Inspector credential #51484. Tell us whether you need a real estate inspection, maintenance visit or a specific county form so we can confirm the scope and local requirements.
Do you install and repair septic systems?
Yes. Twin Springs provides septic repairs, tank replacement, excavation and basic and advanced installation services. Our Missouri Basic & Advanced Installer credential is #39486. Local permitting and project requirements apply.
What does a septic alarm mean?
An alarm indicates a condition that needs attention, such as a high water level or equipment issue. Silencing the buzzer does not fix the cause. Call and tell us what the panel displays so we can discuss service.
Can tree roots affect my system?
Roots can enter damaged or vulnerable piping and contribute to blockages. Camera inspection may help locate the issue. Hydro jetting may be appropriate for some blockages; damaged piping may need repair.
What information do you need for a quote?
Please provide your city, service needs, tank location and approximate distance from truck parking to the tank. Tell us about access restrictions or any alarm, backup or other symptoms.
Is emergency service available?
Emergency, evening and weekend service may be available. Call or text (816) 839-7867 to check scheduling.
What can I expect from Twin Springs?
Honest guidance, clear explanations and practical service options. We ask questions before arriving so we can discuss the job and pricing as accurately as possible.
